Vocabulary Matching

See how learners build word knowledge inside a Reading Journey.

What learners will do

Match words with meanings

After reading the story, the learner sees ten useful, less-familiar words selected from that text. The words appear in one column and their meanings appear in a separate, mixed column.

The learner selects a word and then chooses its matching description. The platform validates each association and provides simple feedback such as Correct match or Not quite—try again.

The activity is completed when all ten words have been matched. Completion, accuracy, attempts, and time are saved separately in the learner’s private progress.
